What type of currency payments do you accept?
Our tour prices are presented in IDR (Indonesian rupia). You may send your deposit via PayPal, Wise.com, or bank transfer. Payments may be in either in IDR, or US dollars and Euros, based on the current exchange rate. Any bank fees for transfer of funds are your responsibility.
Do you need a deposit or down payment?
To confirm your tour booking, we require a 30% downpayment of the total amount and 70% balance 7 days before the start of your tour or when you arrive at your lodging in Labuan Bajo. Full payment may be paid either in IDR, or US dollars and Euros, based on the current exchange rate. Any bank fees for transfer of funds are your responsibility. We will send you an email confirmation once the total amount is agreed upon for your existing tour or custom tour.
What is your cancellation policy?
- 20% of full amount for cancellations 60 days before your arrival date.
- 30% of full amount for cancellations 30 days before your arrival date.
- 50% of full amount for cancellation 14 days before your arrival date.
- Full payment if you do not show up on your arrival date.
FYI: These policies may vary depending on the kind of tour. We can discuss this further when you decide exactly what you want.
What happens if Cruise Komodo cancels my tour because of weather or other causes?
If Cruise Komodo cancels, I will reschedule for another time or refund your money.
Where is best place to exchange money in the islands?
You will get the best exchange rates in Bali and other larger Indonesian tourist destinations than here in our island world. Be prepared before you arrive. Cash speaks everywhere, especially Indonesian rupiah.
Do all the islands have ATMs?
Most villages on Flores Island have ATM. Only select restaurants and businesses accept credit cards.
Can you create a customized tour just for me?
Of course! I wouldn’t be a Cruise Komodo tour planner if I couldn’t! Luxury? Bare-bones? Somewhere in between? The more you let me know about your desires, your visiting time, your budget, and the number of travelers, the better I can plan exactly what you want.
Do the cabins on the boats have air conditioning?
Most do, some don’t. If you need air conditioning, I can arrange it. The boats in the area are very diverse, from traditionally old fashioned to absolute luxury.
What languages do your guides speak?
Most guides speak enough English to communicate well. If you want a guide who speaks a specific language, let me know and I will try to satisfy your request.
Is Cruise Komodo certified by an official travel organization?
Yes it is! Cruise Komodo is registered under PT. Frendosarthatour and officially certified by HPl, Himpunan Pramuwisata, the Tour Guide Association of Indonesia
What should I bring on your tours?
This depends on the tour, but here is a checklist for you. Sunglasses, sunblock, sunhat, sun visor, sandals, trekking shoes (water-resistant during the rainy season, long-sleeved shirt, pants, jacket or raincoat, sleeping bag for overnight village tours, insect repellent, towel, swimming suit, flash light, video camera, replacement batteries and charger, extra memory cards, Indonesian SIM card for internet, personal toiletries and medicine, extra cash for gratuities and souvenirs, passport, visa, airline tickets, and that book you’ve been excited to read. Either pack your suitcase half-full or buy another one in the islands for all the treasures you’ll want to bring home.
